i can imagine it, i have imagined it, and i will continue to imagine it…… this scenario is very very important to me…………….
- midorima who resists VERY HARD at first like no, kise, i’ll look stupid, get away from me with that eyeliner pencil i sAID NO
- but kise is very persuasive, he has the puppy dog eyes, he has the perfect pout; kneeling on the ground in front of where midorima is sitting in a chair and resting his chin on midorima’s knee and looking up at midorima under his fringe with the EYES and the POUT and “pleeeeaaaaseeeee midorimacchi, just once, just for a little bit, i just wanna tryyyy, you would look goodddd i promiseeeeee please midorima please please please”
- and midorima CANNOT resist bc he is a giant softie at heart and kise ryouta is capable of bending nearly anyone around his finger
- “okay, fine. just this once. and only for a couple of minutes. no pictures!”
- kise is so pleased he leaps up and drags midorima over to the full length mirror you KNOW kise has in his room and makes him sit facing it and kneels in front of him but off to the side so that midorima can see his own face
- kise taking off midorima’s glasses and putting them somewhere just out of midorima’s reach which kind of makes midorima panic a little bit but kise says “calm down, midorimacchi, trust me” and midorima has no choice but to trust him
- and kise chatters a lot and says things like “see, if you do the wing on one side and then the other it’s easier to get them even” but when he’s actually APPLYING the eyeliner he’s entirely silent, and midorima can see kise’s face pretty clearly even without his glasses on since kise is pretty close and kise’s lips are parted and pink and very very close
- kise’s hands keep brushing midorima’s cheeks and his fingertips press gently into midorima’s skin and sometimes he gently turns midorima’s head this way and that and midorima can’t find it in himself to protest about the situation anymore
- kise keeps leaning back to check his work and then leaning in again, and it takes a few minutes to get the eyeliner on to kise’s satisfaction and midorima tries not to peek in the mirror before it’s finished but he cant help stealing a few glances
- and kise finally sits back on his heels and grins and says “you look really great, midorimacchi! that wasnt so bad, was it!”
- and midorima looks in the mirror and thinks wow he does look a little… prettier, maybe this is where kise’s charm comes from, but then he thinks about all the other things that make kise kise and decides that the eyeliner is only enhancement, like icing filigree on an already perfectly frosted and undoubtedly delicious cake
- now, midorima said no pictures, but kise cannot fuckin resist. kise takes a sneaky one while midorima is looking down at his lap, then another one after he says “hey, midorimacchi!” and takes the picture just as midorima looks up at him so it catches his half-surprised, unguarded expression.
- midorima realizes kise has been taking pictures and frowns POWERFULLY and demands that he delete them but kise refuses and locks his phone so midorima can’t delete them himself
- after a minute or two midorima says fine keep the pictures then you’re the worst kise
- kise is quiet for a moment and then says “you look really good in them. in the pictures i mean. you look really good right now, too, though. you’re… midorimacchi, you’re really handsome!”
- midorima has a serious fuckin case of the dokis
- midorima had said this was only for a couple of minutes but he leaves the eyeliner on for the rest of the day while he’s over at kise’s. it’s only as he’s waiting at the bus stop to head home that he remembers to wipe it off before someone else sees
